Z550
Sleek, GPRS clamshell with Mobile Java 3D gaming
 
The Sony Ericsson Z550 is a GPRS, clamshell phone, with Bluetooth connectivity and 20MB internal memory. Unusually for a phone in this market segment, external memory can be expanded up to 1GB with a Memory Stick Micro. The Z550 has a 1.3 Megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom and also supports push e-mail, Internet browsing, a media player and Mobile Java 3D gaming.
 
The Z550 has a 262k color TFT, 220x176 pixel main display and a 128x36 pixel STN sub-display. It is based on Sony Ericsson's Java Platform 6 (JP-6) and supports a range of JSRs, including Mobile 3D Graphics, Web Services, Bluetooth, File and PIM APIs.
 
The Z550 will be available during Q3 2006.
