Touchscreen organizer, with WiFi & 5.0 megapixel camera
The Sony Ericsson G900 uniquely uses the QVGA touchscreen in combination with the 5.0 megapixel camera – decide where to focus the camera by touching the screen. Contacts, calendar, notes and pictures are accessible by compact-touch, fingertip control or using stylus input. Web browsing is enhanced by WiFi and the touchscreen can be used to zoom-in or pan around the web page.
The G900 is based on Symbian OS v9.1 and UIQ 3.0, an open platform offering great potential for business, productivity and multimedia applications, and broadens the UIQ 3 platform into bigger, more mainstream market segments.
Developers are able to program in both C++ and Java ME (CLDC 1.1), and take advantage of hardware accelerated 3D graphics supported by the OpenGL ES API.
The G900 will be available in selected markets from Q2 2008.
