Explore NetBeans Mobility Pack and On-Device Debugging with Sony Ericsson and Sun at JavaOne 2005

Sun Microsystems and Sony Ericsson Developer World are hosting a technical session at  at JavaOne 2005 (TS-2845 at 1.30pm on June 29, 2005). We will focus on the integration between NetBeans IDE and the Sony Ericsson J2ME SDK. In addition this session will also take an in-depth look at on-device debugging.

NetBeans Mobility Pack: Living Up To Developers' Expectations  

This is a joint presentation between Sony Ericsson and Sun Microsystems, stripping away the marketing hype to demonstrate how to create mobile applications with the NetBeans 4.1 IDE with the Mobility Pack and how to integrate the NetBeans 4.1 IDE with the Sony Ericsson Java 2 Platform, Micro Edition (J2ME) SDK.  

Developers will hear from Karel Herink and Matt Volpi from Sun Microsystems and Thomas Bailey, Tools Product Manager at Sony Ericsson.

On-device debugging
Thomas Bailey will also take an in-depth look at on-device debugging with a demonstration of the interaction between the NetBeans 4.1 IDE and a Sony Ericsson device during a live debugging session.

In addition to the technical session, you will also be able to meet and talk to Thomas Bailey at the Ericsson Mobility World stand. Sony Ericsson will be demonstrating productivity applications from Impatica, DataMirror and MobiMate on the Sony Ericsson P910a, S710a and Z500z phones. At Ericsson's stand, developers will get a better understanding of the technical possibilities with end-to-end solutions, utilizing network and service layer functionality to create ARPU generating applications and content for mobile handsets.
