On February 28, 2006, Sony Ericsson announced three new tri-band camera phones which are all based on Sony Ericsson's Java
Platform 6 (JP-6) supporting a range of JSRs, including Mobile 3D Graphics, Web Services and File and PIM APIs.
The Sony Ericsson Z530 is a clamshell phone with a 65k color, 128x160 pixel, Ultra Bright Color (UBC) main display and a 101x80 pixel, monochrome sub-display. The all-round Z530 can do many things for the end-user besides being a great phone and messaging device. It has a VGA camera with 4x digital zoom for taking snap-shots and storing them on the phone or sharing them in various ways: MMS, e-mail, Bluetooth The phone has 28MB internal memory and the external memory can be expanded up to 1GB with a Memory Stick Micro, unique for a phone in this market segment. Connectivity features such as Bluetooth, USB 2.0 support, push e-mail and full HTML browser with an RSS reader help make the Z530 the ideal business companion at an affordable price. K510: compact, 1.3 Megapixel camera phone

The K510 is the smallest Sony Ericsson 1.3 Megapixel camera phone yet, including Bluetooth, push e-mail support, and fun imaging effects. New PC synchronization software enables end-users to manage Outlook applications including calendar, contacts, notes and tasks. It's an affordable business phone with good imaging capabilities, including 4x digital zoom as well as video recording and playback. The pre-loaded Face Warp application lets the user modify a photo of a face and give a humorous touch. The phone kit CD also contains the Adobe Photoshop Album 2.0 Starter Edition for managing photos. The K510 will be available during Q2 2006 in the following versions:

| K310: pocket picture album phone
With 15 MB internal memory the K310 puts pictures in the pockets of "Practical Phoners". It's an entry phone with VGA camera offering a "pocket picture album" to people that are about to buy their first camera phone. The K310 has practical tools for viewing, storing and sharing images. The K310 also comes with the Face Warp application.
