Sony Ericsson on March 1, 2005, announced four more Java 3D-enabled phones including the K750, J300, K300 and W800 Walkman phone. Along with the two GSM/UMTS phones announced at 3GSM World Congress, the Z800 clamshell and K600, Sony Ericsson now has 12 phones supporting Mascot Capsule v3 and JSR-184. The K750 is rich with features that are now common in stand alone digital cameras but new to mobile phones, such as Autofocus, 4x digital zoom and red eye reduction. The K750 can store a sizeable picture library. The phone features an internal 32MB memory, which can hold nearly 100 full-size pictures, and an external memory slot which accepts Memory Stick Duo up to 2GB, enough for more than 6,000 shots. A 64MB Memory Stick Duo is supplied with the phone. Images can be shared with a host of other devices thanks to Memory Stick Duo, Bluetooth and Infrared. Also a USB cable comes with the phone for fast transfer of pictures, video and music to and from a PC. K750 provides a great amount of fun and entertainment. It has a Java 3D games engine for fast and smooth game-play, an integrated MP3 player and FM radio, VideoDJ Just as the other phones, the K750 supports J2ME MIDP 2.0 and Java 3D (Mascot Capsule v3 + JSR-184). It has a 176x220 pixel screen, and supports the Nokia UI API. In addition, the K750 handles JSR-82 Bluetooth multi-player gaming, Files and PIM applications through JSR-75. It also supports the normal Wireless Messaging API (JSR-120), Mobile Media API (JSR-135) and JTWI R1 (JSR-185). |

Sony Ericsson has kick-started its entry into the mobile music market with the announcement of the W800, the first Walkman The W800 comes with quality stereo headphones and is compatible with the proven, industry standard MP3 and AAC music file formats. The 0,5GB Memory Stick Duo gives capacity for around 150 music tracks, or 10-12 full length CDs from the user's existing CD collection. The phone is supplied with Disk2Phone software, which enables quick, convenient transfer of music CD's onto the phone via a PC. The W800 Walkman phone supports the same JSR's as the K750. It will start shipping in Q3 2005 in the following variants: W800i Triple Band 900/1800/1900 MHz Walkman |
