Sony Ericsson has launched a global Update Service for the P900 which allows customers to update their phone via the Internet rather than having to take it to a service location or retailer. Now P900 users will be able to use their PC to go on-line and download the latest operator-approved software and then use it to update their phone. At present, only the Sony Ericsson P900 smartphone and the GPRS PC card modem GC75 are supported by the service. In the near future, the GPRS/wireless LAN PC card GC79 and the GC82 EDGE PC card (only available for the American markets) will be added, and the ultimate goal is to make the whole Sony Ericsson product portfolio compatible. | |
