To ensure that there is UI configuration compatibility between Sony Ericsson's UIQ 3-based mobile phones, the following screen size resolutions and layouts should be used in UIQ 3 applications for the M600, P990 and W950 phones:

• 240x320 resolution, portrait layout, pen style (P990)         
• 240x320 resolution, portrait layout, softkey touch (M600 and W950)    

UIQ 3 applications can optionally support other modes:   

• 320x240 resolution, portrait layout, pen style (P990)         
• 320x240 resolution, landscape layout, pen style (P990)         
• 320x240 resolution, landscape layout, counter rotation, pen style (P990)         
• 240x256 resolution, portrait layout, softkey style (P990)         
• 256x240 resolution, landscape layout, softkey style (P990)         
• 256x240 resolution, landscape layout, counter rotation, softkey style (P990)         
• 320x240 resolution, landscape layout, pen style (M600 and W950)   

These screen resolutions and layouts are valid for UIQ 3-based Sony Ericsson phones.
