Sony Ericsson operates two established channels to market, PlayNow™ arena and Fun & Downloads. Together, they provide you with a market opportunity of over 200 million phones in 70 countries.
Submit.sonyericsson.com is a portal where you can submit applications, games and XPERIA Panels to these channels. Submission is free of charge and there is no need to sign (e.g. Java Verified) your content until you know it has been accepted. Successful content will be on sale within 30 days.
PlayNow™ arena
Launched in 2008, PlayNow™ arena offers a complete multimedia experience. End-users can access a full range of free and premium content via their mobile phone (over-the-air) or computer (website) including games, ringtones, themes, wallpapers, movies, full-track DRM-free music and TrackID™ charts.
PlayNow™ arena features games and applications in the main menu, making it easy for consumers to find and buy your content.

As at September 2009 PlayNow arena www.playnow-arena.com is available in 19 countries and is compatible with 78 Sony Ericsson phone models, which equates to over 25 million potential customers for your application. The service platform will roll out to further markets and models during 2009. When you submit your content, you can select which phones you support and in which countries you wish your application to be available.
Fun & Downloads
Sony Ericsson’s other services platform, Fun & Downloads www.sonyericsson.com/fun, was launched in 2003. It offers mobile phone content including ringtones, wallpapers, themes, games and applications and reaches over 200 million phones in 70 markets.
PlayNow™ arena supports both free and paid-for content. You can select from 20 price categories to set the appropriate price for your application. The platform supports both premium SMS and credit card for the lower price categories. Higher value payment is via credit card. Sony Ericsson manages all operator and credit card processing charges. Premium SMS is by far the most popular way of paying for content. Because premium SMS rates and regulation vary by market, we advise you to check the availability and rates for the markets in which you want to sell.
Fun & Downloads offers free content in all 70 markets and paid-for content via premium SMS in 34 markets (as at September 2009).
